Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2012

It’s Spring again, and Toowoomba’s celebrating with their annual Carnival of Flowers. We went up on Saturday, and I spent the afternoon wandering around Queens Gardens photographing the displays.

Just got a new camera…

I know I don’t post often, but I’m going to add some new photos over the next few weeks as I experiment with my new camera – it’s a Nikon Coolpix P510, and I’m enjoying it so far. Anyway, the extended family was over for Father’s Day, so I got some photos of the baby of the family.

And another one…

Toowoomba’s Christmas Lights

I meant to upload this earlier. Toowoomba’s Christmas lights at Queens Gardens.

Cherry Blossoms at the Japanese Gardens

Cherry Blossoms

Taken at the end of July, which makes it about mid-Winter here. I really need to get back there and take some Summer shots, not to mention the Christmas lights in Toowoomba. I now have a tripod, which should help with those night photos.

Detail from a Fountain

Early this year, I went to my brother’s for a holiday, and he took me around his city, doing the tourist thing. We on our way to the Melbourne Museum, we walked through Carlton Gardens and past the Royal Exhibition Building. There is a huge fountain, with some lovely detailing out the front, and I got some great photos.

Don’t know how I managed this…

Poster – In The Garden

I’m uploading this image in the hopes that the full A4 poster can be downloaded. Ideally, a reader can download and save this print, then have it printed out at the full A4 size. Feedback would be appreciated.
